Farmer’s Market

Paducah’s Downtown Farmer’s Market is managed by PRA. Twenty vendors set up booths under the Farmer’s Market pavilion from mid-April through mid-November. The market provides residents and visitors with fresh produce grown within a 100-mile radius of Paducah. The market is filled with such items as fresh vegetables, flowers, and even breads from Kirchhoff’s Bakery. Seasonal Hours of Operation: Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to3:30 p.m.

Old Market Days.

Old Market Days is a fund-raiser which fulfills approximately 20 percent of the organization’s annual fund-raising goal. It is held annually in conjunction with Barbecue on the River. Over 100 vendors set up booths on the streets, selling hand-made crafts, jewelry, and clothing. This year’s event will be September 23-25 in Paducah’s historic downtown.

Holiday Events – LowerTown Arts District &Historic Downtown

PRA hosted the Flip the Switch ceremony during the Downtown Holiday Parade this year. The mayor turned the lights on while riding down Broadway in his horse-drawn carriage. The LowerTown Arts District hosts Lights On!, an event that includes music and refreshments and the lighting of the trees at the Texaco Station. PRA produces a Holiday Shopping Guide filled with valuable information on shops, restaurants, and galleries in the Renaissance Area.

Downtown after Dinner – Historic Downtown

Paducah residents have gathered downtown on Saturday nights for an evening of dinner, dancing on the streets and shopping in local boutiques and shops for the past 15 years. Downtown after Dinner is an event which encourages local residents to enjoy Paducah’s local flavor at a variety of downtown restaurants. The event is held every Saturday night from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

The Affordable Art Show – LowerTown Arts District

This event is designed to introduce the community to fine art available in the downtown and LowerTown Arts District. Art can seem intimidating to some, but this is an event which encourages residents to explore art and to engage with local artists. It is held the first Saturday in December.
